Cartoons? How’s your taste?

In my opinion the cartoons that Nickelodeon and Disney are coming out with today, leave a lot to be desired. Who in the heck comes up with some of these ideas.

I want to know what was your favorite cartoon as a child, and your favorite cartoon that comes on now. No adult swim cartoons or anime. I want real oldies cartoons; tell your true age. Here are two examples:

Now mine is:
Past: Goof Troop or Darkwing Duck
Present: Spongebob Squarepants or Jimmy Neutron

My sisters:
Past: Gummi Bears or Eureka’s Castle
Present: That’s So Raven

There’s some diversity.

  3. past: teenage muntant ninja turtles or the simpsons
    now: totally spies or kension

  4. FAMILY GUY, KING OF THE HILL, SIMPSONS!!

  5. Flintstones, spongebob 48 years old.

  6. my son loves the squirrel boy I think on nickelodeon, but he just loves squirrels.
    some of my favorites were: the smurfs, Alf, Family Matters

  7. I love Jimmy Neutron– I think its strange how they are doing the Fairly Odd Parents/Jimmy Neutron episodes now though.

    Present: Betty Boop cartoons from the early thirties

  9. Past: X-Men & Power Ranger

    Present:
    Tom & Jerry
    Jimmy Neutron
    Spongebob Squarepants
    Kim Possible
    Lilo & Stitch
    American Dragon
    Naruto

    these are my favorite cartoons!

  10. I grew up with Bugs Bunny and Tom & Jerry. My all time is still Tom & Jerry. But not the ones from the 70’s. Those are gawd awful.

    My GF likes Hong Kong Fuey and Scooby Doo.

    But I still love her.

  11. past- i love shows like quack pack duck etc
    now- i’m 14 and i like adult swim but since we cant sat that i would say anything on cartoon network and toon disney

    i like the old cartoons better

  12. I used to watch Tom and Jerry & bugs Bunny

    Now I watch what my kids watch:

    They like pretty much anything on Nick

    SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents

  13. I agree. Some of these cartoons are so dull and the shows my little sister watches are even worse. They have the laugh-track every other 10 seconds. I like the old-school cartoons such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Merry Melodies, and the likes. I also like those weird shows like Invader Zim. And I’m 16. I also like Spongebob. Patrick is hilarious. Some of those animes on Adult Swim suck. I like the older Adult Swim animes.

  17. Past: Bugs Bunny…ALL the Looney tunes. 3 Stooges too(not cartoons)
    Present: Don’t watch cartoons, but LOVE Roseanne
